Some useful suggestions and links left by readers.

On “Misunderstanding versus Disagreement”

Jeffrey Ellis writes:

A great place for PhD’s to discuss relevant literature, and network with others is http://www.JournalReview.org. This site allows you to discuss any article indexed in PubMed, and when you leave a comment/question gives you the chance to share your thoughts with the author of the paper and up to 15 experts.

It is a great way to get answers to questions you might have… share your observations… propose future studies… and network with experts in any field you might have interest in.

On “Save time by writing HOWTO’s for yourself”

Jim writes:

Also, consider leaving the HOWTOs for posterity- I’m an undergraduate research assistant, and I frequently rely on a past graduate student’s notes and instructions regarding how to analyze remote sensing data.

On “Presenting data using Sparklines in OpenOffice”
